About

Growing up in France, my first encounter with clay was in the basement studio of a friend of my mother, where I learned how to hand build little figurines. I remember loving to sculpt and give form to a simple ball of brown clay, a magical process.

A few years later, a friend of mine brought me to a class she was attending in the suburbs of Paris where I first learned how to throw and glaze. The glazing part amazed me. I remember anxiously waiting for the kiln to open to see the result and see how the colors had came out.

Then life happened and I completely forgot about ceramics and it’s only a few years ago, around 2018, that I decided to attend a workshop in Williamsburg and all the feelings that I had experienced when working with clay came back. After a few workshops in the US & Europe and hours of practice, I decided to dedicate more time to my passion and to start selling my creations.

Constance Ceramics was then created in Brooklyn in 2019.

All items are handmade locally in Williamsburg and they invite to what is the most important to me: shared, convivial moments, wether it is around a cup of tea, a good meal, a tasty drink…
